Move A Mate is a community project designed to get more people moving more of the time. If every physically active Australian grabs one physically inactive Mate, we suddenly have doubled the speed at which we can make a healthier and fitter Australia.
Driven by Kylie Patterson, the Move A Mate project includes a registration area for Movers (those currently active) to register and invite their Mates (those currently inactive) to join the project. All registrants are then able to invite their own Mate to join in, spreading the positive benefits of a healthier lifestyle.
Throughout June 2012, the Move A Mate project will inspire, drive and motivate all registrants to get moving and make a positive change for their health and well-being. Mates will be able to log in and track their exercise each week, with their supportive Movers getting a summary of minutes of exercise taken.
Move A Mate is an incredibly exciting project, and one Marty is immensely supportive of given his involvement in the group fitness industry in Melbourne.
